Anti-wrinkle injections are a safe and convenient way to remove and relax frown lines, forehead lines and laughter lines without surgery. The benefits are visible within 5-10 days and will leave the face with a smoother, more rested appearance for up to 4 months. The muscle relaxing injections can also be very effective in treating underarm perspiration.

Do not drink alcohol or take aspirin 24 hours before the treatment. Inform your practitioner of any history of bronchitis, pneumonia and problems with breathing.
Using a very fine needle and few drops of the serum are injected into the muscle creating the wrinkle. The anti-wrinkle injections work by blocking the nerve impulses from stimulating the muscle and, as a result, the muscle relaxes, wrinkles diminish and the skin becomes softer. As the injections only affect the treated area untreated muscles contract in the normal way allowing normal facial expression to be unaffected.
Please refrain from touching the treated area and remain upright for 3-4 hours. Do not have facial massage or electrical stimulation to the face for 24 hours after the treatment. Do not overstretch, bend or kneel excessively for 2 days following treatment. No shoe shopping following the treatment. Do not fly for up to 72 hours after the treatment. It is recommended to avoid alcohol for 12 hours. It is recommended that you come back for more treatments at the first sign of muscle re-activation.
Beyond the normal pinprick experience of an injection, the anti-wrinkle treatment is effectively painless. There is sometimes a mild burning sensation which wears off in a few minutes. Treatment itself takes about 15 minutes.

Anti-wrinkle injections have been used for over ten years for both beauty treatments and to treat serious medical conditions. The injections are sterile and safe and as the treatment is not permanent any possible side effects are temporary and localized to the injected area.
Great of course! However, there may be a few tiny pin-prick marks from the injections but these disappear within a couple of days. There is no recuperation required and most people return to normal life immediately. Make-up can be applied straight away.
You may experience flu-like symptoms and tenderness at the injection site, but both are mild and passing. There is a theoretical risk of allergy but it is virtually unknown.
